I don't like christmas. It has become so commercial that it has lost the real sense. So, I boicot christmas, and I don't give any gifts or cards or nothing! Only to my nephews, and that is because they don't understand yet.

This past Easter, they REALLY tried to make Easter Gifts happen. I don't know if you saw the commercials but they were advertising DVDs, board games, etc on TV, and in my area Safeway had TMX Elmos for sale.

Wasn't St. Valentine's Day originally about loving all of mankind, not just your significant other? I kinda wish the original intention was carried through...

I like Halloween. Because I'm a horror fan and Halloween marks a big surge of horror-based things and everyone strives to make things look eerie.

I also like the concept behind Dia De Los Muertos, although I've never formally celebrated it. I think a holiday to celebrate life and not be afraid of death is sorely needed in our society.

I like the time around Christmas, although I like getting things so I don't mind the holiday too much either XD I'm not religious, though, so the holiday holds no real meaning to me (just like Easter, but I celebrate that too).

I actually like Christmas but not just the day, but the whole season, because I can actually enjoy a cup of cocoa or hot cider in front of a fireplace and everything smells like cinnamon and pine (and not cheap air freshener pine)...and I never get tired of a Christmas Story unless it's July.
Other than that, my birthday, because it's December 22 and it's the same thing. I get the single gift crap but I don't even care anymore as long as it's money.

I love Thanksgiving myself. That is when we all get together as a family and just enjoy each other.
My lease favorite would have to be Valentines Day. I just look at this as a made up holiday to make people spend money they don't need to spend.

I am a Christmas person. I love the holiday. Everything about it. The true meaning, the commercial meaning, decorations, food, scents and all. Love it love. Just wish we would get some snow on Christmas.

I would have to say my favorite holiday would be Thanksgiving. I like getting together with all the family and all the food. I do like Christmas but I don't like all the stress that seems to come with it anymore.

I used to love the whole christmas season.. until I worked for toys r us.. Now christmas is my FAVORITE day because it is the end of christmas season! Lol, its a toss up between my family filled christmas or my explosion filled 4th.

1) Halloween. Some of my best memories as a kid were the Halloweens spent with my sister. As kids, our religious parents wouldn't allow us to trick or treat, but our sister still managed to make the holiday fun for us by taking us to her place and letting us watch any movies and eat any food we wanted because luckily Halloween was the day before our parents' anniversary so she was usually babysitting us anyway. Huge Grin

2) Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is Christmas without the expensive gift giving and immense stress.

All holidays are great as they are an opportunity to spend time with family. As for having a favorite one- Mother's Day is pretty good one from my point of view as I get breakfast in bed! Cold toast with thick vegemite! Oh well at least they try!
