Are the best chips ever invented. If you don't think so, then you are wrong. Enough said.

Sorry, we're not from liederhozen-a-go-go land. We call them chips, because they are in fact chips from a potato. Salt and Vinegar is the best ever.

I don't see how "chips" fits crisps better than chips. But of course, dialect differences exist, petrol is not remotely gaseous, and English English is the only true English in the same way that French French is the only true French.

if "liederhozen-a-go-go" land is referring to Germany, I would like you to know that the Morgenthau Plan was not executed and especially that in German, chips are called Pommes and crisps are called chips. Also, the first e in Lederhosen is pronounced like a French é, not remotely like i.

I would like to add that I was genuinely confused and accordingly exasperated.

Frankly, I prefer chips to crisps solely because I have difficulty pronouncing the 'cr' sound sometimes so I'd be saying "quisp", which is a type of really old cereal. I never liked the term fries for what would be chips in British English, but you can't use the term chips to mean two different things. Although in most restaurants if you order something British-ish like "Fish & Chips", fries are called chips. But only in that instance.

I like differences in dialect though. I find it fascinating that depending on where you are in the US you'll either call it soda or pop. Personally I always called it Coke, regardless of if it's Pepsi or some generic grand.

Huh? Signature? What's going on with that signature?

I call it Soda, but I rarely drink it, so I rarely need to use the term.

I'll usually say "Diet Pepsi" when I order something just to see if they have it. I like diet Pepsi over diet Coke.

I mostly drink water, so that is few and far between when I order soda.
