My Yankees were defeated and are offically done for the season. But this is not the point of the post. The point of the post is to say the Mets will ALWAYS be New Yorks # 2 Baseball team. Thats not changing. Most of the papers here careless about the Mets being in the playoffs still, and care more about whats going on with the Yankees. Will the manager be fire, what changes next year, etc.. So what do you guys think, should the media be covering the Yankees who are done, or the Mets who are in a run for the World Series Championship. Any non-sport fan can answer that question, so what do you all think?

That was a bullshit statment. He is a great guy with everyone in the world against him. Its not his fault everyones expectations are for 78 homeruns and 300+ RBI a season. And MOST people seem to forget that he SWITCHED from the BEST shortstop in baseball for Jeter. How else would Jeter have won a golden glove? Anyway they can't get rid of A-Rod. He has a no-trade clause, which means he gets to decide wether he stays or goes and he already said he wants to stay, although that may change.

His performance in the post season was terrible. He can't handle the pressure for being PAID that much.

Baseball and most other sport players get too much money.

The whole teams performance was terrible. They had 6 runs combined the last 3 games, and to call out A-Rod for under-performing. He only under performs because everyone expects him to hit a home run everytime he is up.

i agree if we spent half the money the sports players on Science then just think of how far we would really be?
