Chaos like this only for a peice of hardware that entertains us is going to far.

I was unable to get my hands on one as the only place in my town that had them was Walmart, and they only had two. I saw some people walking out all pissed off because they didn't get a PS3.

people are going crazy for PS3. Man, I guess they want the braggin right or something. Why people always want to stand in line to get these thing is beyond me.

All this is way beyond me, but I don't play any of those waste of money things anyway............... A PC is just fine for the little fragging that I do.............

I saw a PS3 and played it at a Walmart, and here are my impressions.

A big, bulky, shiny box. Not sleek at all.

The graphics were not that impressive.

And all people wanted to play was basketball. Gah!

I really never understood the entire playing sports on a console. If you want to play sports, get off your ass and go outside.

Most people that play consoles are fat and could use the exercise.

but then they might not win and can't blame in on an unresponsive controller

i saw one of the trailer's for ps3 showing a video and graphics were not bad.

Anyways, one of the shootings was right here in Oregon, in Eugene, where some guy robbed people outside in line, and when they would not give up their money, he shot one of them.

He is in jail now.

oh yah i remember seeing that on the news.. yah that was crazy.. in portland there was a riot at a bestbuy and there was also people throwing rotten eggs etc. at the people capming out

serves him right. ps3 should be banned. what is really the cost of ps3? i first heard it was 800$ and then 1200$!. when i some of my friends, they said its about 599.99$.

$600 out the door, that with the extra controlers from what I understand.......... I haven't even seen one of them yet, they aren't in any of the little shops out where I live yet, maybe by Christmas.
I'd get a new high-end video card before I paid that kind of money for the PS3.........

How much for a 60 gig hard drive and tell me how much it is. add in the price for a gaming system say ps2 for shits and giggles. lets see you have

blue-ray reader: apox 1000-1600 dollars
reciever: 250-400 dollars
60G HD: 80 dollars
PS2: 150 dollars

Now thats over 2000 dollars worth of equipment for 600 dollars.

Do your fukin research before you start bitching about how stupid people are. fuk i would stand in line to get on if i didnt have a job just for the blue-ray.

also, where the hell are you getting a 60gb hard drive for 80 bucks, cus your getting ripped off majorly, you can get a 250gb hard drive for 75 bucks easy

Xbox360 costed more to manufacturer than what they were selling for. Consoles don't make the money, its the games that make the money.


A big plus is a Blu-Ray player costs much more than a PS3 which is a bonus as you get something that plays games and Blu-Ray movies.

Blu-Ray is another waste of money IMHO, DVD works just fine...... And Blu-Ray is just going to die out just like the old Sonu Beta-Max video tapes did...........

True but if Blu-Ray becomes more main stream in a few years like how DVDs are now, the DVD market will die off like the betmax.

If the Blu-Ray people want it to overcome the DVD industry they really need to start advertising. DVDs had it easy in that it was already pretty unique when it came out (I remember buying our first DVD player, it was so cool XD) but Blu-Ray just looks like a fancy version of DVDs and unless they start telling people what it does. I keep seeing Blu-Ray movies on sale but the only description any store had for it was "Can be played on the PS3!" which tells me nothing (although I already know, but it'd help to make it easier on the consumers).
