School bans tag for fear of liability

This is why the legal system is this country is screwed. Kids are screwed because they aren't allowed to do anything that would be physically invlolved.

Banning tag in school because it may be dangerous? If the kid's parents sue, throw them out of the district for stupidity.

Around here (Bavarian school system), the following noticable rules have been added recently:
* no smoking (teachers and students alike) at school - good IMHO; smoking kills and annoys non-smokers. Before this, kids had to write tests if they'd missed one in a smokey staff room. that's impossible - the students that want to smoke just leave the school premises so no harm done
* blanket ban on electronic data mediæ. IMHO this includes CDs and DVDs which are used in lessons, but noone will listen This is completely and utterly stupid, not enforced at my school and not respected at all. The incentive were violent and/or porn videos shared via mobile phones - like banning mobile phones will stop that - and help kids that need to call home for some reason. The previous regulation was, on a teacher-to-teacher basis, that mobile phones, vorbis players etc had to be turned off - and woe betied us if a mobile rang translated quote by a teacher (in arts; who lets students hear music in lessons - it helps !) on MP3 players: "I wasn't sure if they qualify and didn't dare ask at the conference".

THATS HORRIBLE! I remember before graduation from elementary school they banned dodge ball. i was soo pissed so we played tackle football =D haha i can't beilve they did this its dispicable
